How to Decorate for a Backyard Party This Summer

by Waverly Wilde

Spruce Up Your Yard So It’s Party Ready This Summer

3 is the Magic Number

Organized color is always a good idea at any party. Start by deciding on 3 hues that you can use over and over again throughout your decorations: napkins, paper lanterns, streamers, and more. Your party will look sophisticated when you keep it simple with the same colors.

Make the Night Brighter

If you’re planning to have a night shindig, outdoor lighting is not only essential, it will help set the mood for your event. Throw up some string lights on trees, against your home, and along your fence to brighten up your evening games.

Stay Grounded

How are people supposed to sit at your party if you don’t have enough chairs? Easy - just use the floor! Lay out blankets on your grass and throw out some pillows to create a cozy atmosphere for your guests.

Keep the Mosquitos Away

You can’t go wrong with tiki torches. Even if you aren’t throwing a tropical themed extravaganza, tiki torches add a lot of fun to any outdoor party. Not to mention, they’ll fight off mosquitoes, keeping you and your guests free from bites.

Life is like a Bowl of Fruit

Add bowls of fruit to your tables for food AND decoration. A bowl of oranges here, a bowl of cherries there, and so on. Never thought you’d want to eat the decor at your party, huh?

It doesn’t take much to decorate for an outdoor party, just a little inspiration! If you feel like you’re lacking the right furniture and accessories for your event, check out what we’ve got in store! We’ll be sure to help you have fun this summer in a backyard you’re proud to party in.
